During my recent travels, I had the pleasure of staying at Casas Vale Martinho Bed & Breakfast in Santa Comba Dao. Although I only stayed for transit, I found two features of the hotel database to be particularly noteworthy. the convenience of the nearest airport being just 55 km away made my journey seamless and hassle-free. the wide range of information provided in the database allowed me to plan my visit to Santa Comba Dao efficiently.
The noise from the nearby dual carriageway and IP2 was audible even within the hotel premises, making it slightly less tranquil than I had hoped.

We had a great time at this hotel. the location was convenient, with three motorways nearby, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. the beautiful green garden was a perfect spot for us to walk our dogs. the room and bathroom were clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. the service was excellent, with the owner being polite and accommodating. the breakfast was delicious and fulfilling.
The lack of other walking areas for dogs apart from the garden was a slight drawback.

Ecopista Adventure: The highlight of my stay was definitely exploring the Ecopista, a biking path that takes you through stunning mounts and valleys. I felt like I was in my own adventure movie, pedaling my way through breathtaking scenery just like a real-life Indiana Jones.
Limited Seating: My only tiny gripe was that our room had three beds, leaving no space for chairs. I wished I had somewhere comfy to sit and enjoy my books.

We had a wonderful stay at Casas Vale Martinho for 2 nights. Fezial and his wife warmly welcomed us and the surroundings were stunning. Fezial even cooked delicious Indian dinners for us both evenings. The place is calm, tranquil, and perfect for relaxation. The hosts provided great tips for our trip and the breakfast was fantastic. It's definitely one of the best places to visit in Portugal with great value for money.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

I truly loved the charming decoration of the hotel. The cozy living room with a fireplace created a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. The general areas were beautifully maintained and had a lovely home feel. As a senior woman, I greatly appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. It had easy access and was well-suited for people of all ages.
If I could ask for one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, I would kindly suggest that the children working there provide more assistance and support to senior guests.

We embarked on hikes through breathtaking paths, where the stunning view over Dão River took our breath away. We were also thrilled to watch peculiar species of birds in the area. It was a great opportunity for us to connect with nature and create lasting memories as a family.
My kids wished there were more activities specifically tailored for children.
